One of the Best Experiences of my Life – Worth every penny
Alright- Excellent does not appropriately sum up the experience I had with this tour company on my recent trip to Moab. I took the Works tour where I drove a customized 4 seat side by side. The package includes several small hikes – one to see dinosaur fossils and one to go through a tunnel within the cliffs that used to be home to Native Americans. Additionally there are stops at Uranium Arch where you actually get to walk out on the arch and at the base of two buttes. The views at all the stops was excellent. Our guide, Gavin, could not have been better. He oriented the trip to all the guests and their driving skill levels. He also had great facts about the trails, the rock formations and the history of the area. He had a great sense of humor and was a total professional. He clearly described the operation of the vehicles and gave excellent instructions on the trail. I had my family with me and at no time did I not trust his guidance, and his concern for us and our experience was truly genuine. He also acted as a great photographer taking pictures of all the tour guests at the various stops with our individual cameras. The trail is a mixture of sand and rock crawling. It’s a beginners trail for sure as I had no real rock crawling experience at all and I was able to navigate it. That said there is plenty of adventure on the trail. My wife said numerous times it “was just the right amount of terrifying”. All the water you could possibly need on the trail was included and was ice cold. There were also snacks provided at the various stops (Fritos, chips, etc.).The vehicles themselves were the beefiest I had seen in all my research of tour providers in the area. They have great suspensions and even over the rough stuff were extremely smooth. They also have harnesses – we were securely held in our seats. They provided goggles and helmets. If you are under 18 you must wear a helmet which I was happy about for my kids. My wife and I opted not too wear the helmets and we had no issues. Also, while booking the trip it looked like the dates and times for my trip weren’t going to work out. The owner, Jennifer, made suggestions for other outfitters she trusted so we wouldn’t miss out on the Moab experience. I was so impressed by that I switched my schedule around to use Epic. It was the best decision I made for the trip. If you have any interest for trail riding, rock crawling, etc. for all skill levels use these guys. You will have the time of your life.Lisa (TripAdvisor) May 2022This was definitely an experience our whole family will talk about forever!! There were 5 of us: mom, dad, 2 college kids and 1 16 year old. As the mom, I was a little apprehensive about the whole experience but Gavin’s confidence and expertise put me at ease right away. I can’t rave enough about the experience..the trails, the scenery, Gaven, the other couple on our tour….it was all wonderful. If you’re on the fence about this tour JUST DO IT! You won’t regret it. It had everything you’d want and more.TheWorks!!
