How do I book a tour?

We make our booking as easy and secure as possible. Just click any of our “Book Now” buttons and follow the links to complete your reservation or better yet, call us. 435-355-3195 We are eager to help you find your best adventure.

Yes, it’s possible and it’s easy. When available, you can make an of our rides private when you click “Make it Private” and complete your reservation. Or, give us a call. Our private tour planners can help you put the perfect excursion together.

We understand that sometimes plans change, and we are committed to providing our customers with the flexibility they need. Our 48-hour cancellation policy allows you to cancel or reschedule your tour booking with ease.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made 48 hours or more before the scheduled tour departure time will receive a full refund. We will accept your cancellation or rescheduling request any way you can get it to us. Send us an email, reply to our confirmation email or give us a call. If you don’t get us or it is after hours, leave a voicemail. We will reply to your email or voicemail so you can be confident your cancellation or schedule change was received and processed.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled tour departure time will not be eligible for a refund. However, we will do our best to accommodate you for an alternative tour time (subject to availability).

In the event that we need to cancel your tour due to unforeseen circumstances — such as extreme weather conditions, safety concerns or insufficient reservation numbers — you will be notified as soon as possible and offered the option to reschedule the tour or receive a full refund.

Please note that no-shows or cancellations made after the scheduled tour departure time will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling.

Requests for rescheduling your reservation will be treated as a cancellation and new booking and subject to stated cancellation timelines. Requests to remove vehicles or downgrade from a 4-capacity vehicle to a 2-capacity vehicle will be treated as a cancellation and new booking and subject to cancellation timelines.

The 48-hour cancellation policy does not apply to private tours or group tours. Terms will be discussed and agreed upon when we finalize your itinerary.

Optional Travel Protection may be available for your tour choice. Travel Protection is not insurance, but it does offer the most flexibility in protecting your purchase in the event of unexpected changes to your plans. Travel Protection offers Cancel/Change For Any Reason (CFAR) reassurance with just 4-hours notice versus our standard cancellation policy of 48 hours. When selected, you may cancel your reservation for any reason, and receive a full refund, less Travel Protection fees, up to 4 hours before your tour departure time. Travel protection also includes changes to your reservation. When you choose Travel Protection, changes to your reservation including date, time, or number of vehicles or participants will be honored up to 4 hours before your tour departure time. Changes are subject to availability

When available, Travel Protection will be offered for additional purchase when you finalize your reservation. Travel Protection is non-refundable.

Logistical FAQs

Your confirmation email includes important details about when and where to arrive—please read it carefully. For most tours, we ask guests to arrive 15 minutes before the listed start time to allow for smooth check-in and gear fittings. Completing waivers in advance ensures everything runs on time. Think of it like catching a flight: arriving early helps everything go smoothly, and late arrivals may forfeit their spot without a refund. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

We love the rain and find that rain can make the area even more beautiful. We operate rain or shine and love waterfall chasing whenever the opportunity presents itself! However, in cases of extreme weather that requires us to cancel, we will offer you the opportunity to reschedule or receive a refund.

Our adventures are sure to be among the highlights of your visit to Moab. We recommend planning your ride with us early in your stay for opportunity to reschedule if weather does become a factor. Not only that, but you’ll be spending at least a few hours with a local guide. They love giving tips on other things to do while you are here. We think hanging out with us early in your visit can help make the rest of your stay even better.

We welcome all fitness levels on our tours! You will be riding in or driving a well-equipped vehicle, and no walking is required. However, there are places where the best views are located a short walk away. While these extra treks are optional, we think they enhance the ride and we hope you can join us for these opportunities to see unique views.

Our operating season is generally the first part of March through Thanksgiving weekend each year. Our last day of operation for 2024 will be November 30 and we will return on or before March 1, 2025. Weather and other factors may allow us to open our season early or force our season to end early. Our calendar is always up to date and accepting reservations.

Our amazing Kawasaki KRX 1000 fleet consists of 2 and 4 seat vehicles. We can accommodate up to 5 for families with young children.

We recommend bringing sunglasses, a hat, a camera, and a jacket. We require closed-toe shoes for all riders. You may wish to apply sunscreen prior to your ride and also bring it with you for added protection. We recommend dressing in layers as the temperatures can fluctuate especially for our sunset rides and in early spring and late fall. Finally, we make good on our promise for adventure. Make sure you eat a good meal before joining us!

Epic 4X4 Adventures does not have a shuttle service but Moab offers a free transit service. Moab Area Transit (MAT) is a fare-free, transit service. Service runs on a schedule with pre-determined routes and stops or on-demand, door-to-door service. Download the MAT App on your phone to schedule rides or call them at 833-628-3733. To learn more visit Moab City website.

Epic 4X4 Adventures offers parking at our location. Can accommodate moderately sized motorhomes but if you are traveling this way, we suggest arriving early so we can help get you parked before our lot fills up.

Tour FAQs

You can absolutely drive our UTVs. That’s exactly what they are for. Our guide is there to ensure you don’t get lost on the trail and help you tackle the obstacles like a pro. You must be a licensed driver 16 and up to drive. (16 and 17 year old drivers require a parent or guardian in the front passenger seat while operating our UTVs.)
Yes, all licensed drivers 16+ may take turns driving throughout the tour. We make stops at several points of interest along the way, which provides plenty of opportunity for switching drivers. Driver changes do occur at your guide’s discretion. Your guide will let you know when it’s safe and appropriate to switch drivers while on the trail.
All of our tours are conducted in English. For safety, all drivers on our You-Drive UTV Tours must be able to hear and understand English clearly enough to receive and follow instructions from our guide. All drivers must also be able to speak English clearly enough to communicate with our guide that they understand and will follow instructions or alert our guide if they require assistance or have concerns during the ride. Whether or not a guest is able to communicate effectively enough to participate will be at the discretion of our guide. If we determine that your safety is at risk due to any communication concerns, we will do our best to offer an alternative to driving. These cases will not be grounds for a refund, however. If you are unsure whether or not you meet this requirement, please contact us before you make your reservation.

Yes! We are happy to provide a tour for you in your personal UTV, but this would be restricted to a private experience. Your UTV must be properly equipped and set up for your trail choice and terrain. Please call us to discuss.

Pricing starts at $250 + $99/hour for a single UTV and $50/hour for each additional UTV in your group.

Yes. If you would like to join our tours but do not wish to drive a UTV, you may be able to ride with our guide on a group UTV adventure or you can join us for our popular private tour, K4 Experience. Give us a call and let us know what you’d like to do, and we will do our best to find a solution for you: (435) 220-2653.

If you have a trail in mind that is not listed in our trail portfolio, please contact us for a private tour. We’d love to help you plan your own epic adventure! 435-260-2206

Other FAQs

Absolutely. We are proud to bring you Moab’s safest side-by-side fleet. Epic 4×4 Adventures’ custom performance roll cages exceed manufacturers’ bolt-together safety standards. We equip vehicles with front and rear bumpers as well as rock rails to protect soft plastic body panels that can give way. You will have a left and right side mirror with an upgraded center rearview mirror that offers a wide radius view. We equip each UTV with 6-point, OEM safety harnesses. Lastly, our tour fleet is impeccably maintained and exclusively used for guided tours. That means our vehicles have never been out of our sight. While we tackle the tough trails, we do so with skill that we pass along to our guests. You can be sure that your vehicle has not been “driven like a rental” at any time throughout its life.

Yes, all riders must sign a Participant Agreement. Riders younger than 18 years of age must have it signed by a parent or guardian. Riders younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Our guides work hard to keep you safe and ensure great guest experiences. They strive to help you create memories and stories you’ll share for years to come. Adding a gratuity lets your guide know they did a good job and you had a great time. Tipping is not mandatory and we never add a gratuity to our public tours. Our guides, however, strive to earn a gratuity and are appreciate when you feel they’ve earned it too.

Children must be 5 years old or older to participate in our tours. Children must wear a DOT off-road style helmet on our UTV tours. Some children tolerate this better than others but generally we find if they are accustomed to a helmet for other activities they will do well. Our safety harnesses are remarkably safe for both youth and adults, but they are not designed for child car seats or standard vehicle booster seats. For smaller children and children under 8, we have a special booster seat designed for the harnesses in our UTVs. Minor children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Older adults will also have a great time on our tours.

Drivers for our You-Drive UTV Tours must be licensed and 18 or older to operate our vehicles. Drivers who are 16 or 17 and licensed may operate our vehicles with parent consent and a parent in the vehicle at all times.* A learner’s permit does not meet this requirement.

*Restrictions apply and a Minor Driver Authorization Form is required. Please call or see our Driver Agreement for more information.

We love our pets too but our 4X4 tours are just not the place for them. We do not have seats or harnesses to keep them safe.

The same holds true for service animals. We just can’t keep them safe in the event of an accident. That said, we’d love to help you get out and enjoy the trails if at all possible. Please call us to discuss how we may be able to accommodate you while your service animal is safely back at your accommodations.
